Dr. Alanna Wahl is a passionate foot and ankle physician and surgeon who is dedicated to providing the best care for her patients. She is proud to serve the south suburbs of Chicago in Orland Park and Oak Lawn.

She studied Biology and Kinesiology at Miami University in Oxford, OH. She then graduated with honors from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, where she received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. She was the recipient of many scholarships including the Stivers Family Endowed Scholarship and the Phillip R. Brachman, DPM ‘34 Memorial Endowed Scholarship. In podiatry school, she was a board member of many organizations, including the Vice President of Pi Delta Honors Society.

Dr. Wahl most recently completed her foot and ankle surgical residency training at the distinguished Advocate Christ Medical Center; a Level 1 trauma center in Oak Lawn, IL. She received extensive all-around training in complex foot and ankle pathology. Her training consisted of an emphasis on diabetic limb salvage, complex foot and ankle trauma, limb deformity correction, complex reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and total ankle replacements. She served in key leadership roles as Chief Resident in her final year and was Chair of the Resident Committee of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association.

She continued to enhance her skills by attending and receiving additional certifications at the Baltimore Limb Deformity Course, Arthroscopy course and a Total Ankle Replacement course. Throughout her residency, Dr. Wahl presented her research at various conferences across the country, and she also holds a publication in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Wahl is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both Foot and Rearfoot/Ankle surgery.

Dr. Wahl grew up in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and is the daughter of two podiatrist parents. A few of her passions include sports medicine, trauma and pediatrics. As a former pre-professional dancer, Dr. Wahl plans to serve the dance community of the chicagoland area. She is committed to providing the best care for not only athletes, but all patients. She is excited to work closely with the Advocate Christ podiatry residency program and teach the incoming residents and students.

In her free time, Dr. Wahl enjoys workout classes such as yoga and pilates, outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with her fiancé and Golden Retriever.
